These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Buy-In Boss mobile application ("the app"). By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. This summary is provided for clarity and does not constitute legal advice.
1. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Buy-In Boss for your own recreational purposes on Apple devices you own or control, in accordance with the App Store Terms of Service and these Terms.
2. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the app for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable gambling laws.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app, except as permitted by law.
- Resell, redistribute, or sublicense the app or its content.
3. No gambling service
Buy-In Boss is an organizational and record-keeping tool for poker games and tournaments. It does not facilitate real-money wagering, hold funds, process bets, or distribute winnings. You are solely responsible for ensuring that any games you organize comply with the laws of your jurisdiction.
The app carries a gambling content rating on the App Store because it displays real buy-in amounts and calculates real payouts. Our age suitability page explains what that rating does and does not mean.
4. Your content
You are responsible for the information you enter into the app, including player details and tournament records, and for having any necessary permission to store information about other people. You retain ownership of the data you create.
5. Purchases and subscriptions
The app is free to download and offers optional in-app purchases, including auto-renewing subscriptions and a one-time lifetime unlock. All payments are handled by Apple through the App Store and are subject to Apple's terms. Any auto-renewing subscription continues until cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and can be cancelled or managed at any time in your App Store account settings. Current prices are shown in the app before you confirm a purchase.
Where a free trial is offered, it becomes a paid subscription at the end of the trial period unless you cancel before then. Trials are limited to one per Apple ID, and eligibility is determined by Apple rather than by us.
The lifetime unlock is a one-time purchase and does not renew. "Lifetime" refers to the lifetime of the app rather than your own: it unlocks the paid features for as long as Buy-In Boss remains available. We intend to keep developing and supporting the app, but the purchase covers the features available at the time you buy it. It is not a promise of any particular future feature, of updates for any set period, or that the app will remain published indefinitely. The unlock is tied to the Apple ID used to buy it and can be restored on that Apple ID.
Nothing in this section affects any statutory rights you have under the consumer law of your country. Refunds are handled by Apple under its own policies.
6. Calculations and results
Buy-In Boss calculates payouts, chops, placements, points, and rankings from the information you enter. These figures are provided to help you run your game, and they are only ever as accurate as the buy-ins, chip counts, and knockouts recorded in the app. It remains your responsibility, and your table's, to agree what is actually paid out. Once a tournament is finalised, its result is intentionally locked and cannot be edited.
7. Intellectual property
The app, including its design, logo, artwork, and content, is owned by SwiftVisions and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that calculations such as payouts will perfectly match every house rule. Always verify important figures.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SwiftVisions shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app, including any disputes over buy-ins, placements, or payouts among players.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
