Buy-In Boss tournament concept
What is Buy-In Boss?

The whole tournament, run from your pocket.

Buy-In Boss turns your iPhone into a complete poker tournament director for home games. Set the buy-in once and every re-buy is counted automatically. Seat the field at random across your tables, close tables down as players bust, and watch the prize pool split itself according to a payout ladder that widens as the pot builds.

When the last few agree a deal, the chop is settled by chip counts using ICM, not a rough guess. When one player is left, confirm the winner and the result is locked in for good, then feeds an all-time leaderboard that settles who really owns the table.

  • No accounts, no sign-in, no servers
  • Your tournaments, players and results never leave your iPhone
  • A 19-page guide built into the app, so nobody has to read a manual
Four Steps

Set up in minutes, run all night.

From an empty screen to a crowned champion, this is the whole flow.

1

Build the tournament

Name it, or tap shuffle for a random one. Set the buy-in, how many buy-ins each player gets, and the date it's played. Stack size and notes are optional.

2

Pick players and tables

Tap the regulars from your shared player list and the tables you're using. Both lists carry across every tournament, so you only ever add someone once.

3

Choose how it pays

Pick a payout preset and that's the whole job. Pay one place, pay a fixed few, or start narrow and widen automatically as re-buys build the prize pool.

4

Deal, and let it run

Record buy-ins, seat the field, swipe players out as they bust. Payouts keep themselves current. Confirm the winner and the tournament locks.

Everything You Need

Features that run the table.

๐Ÿ’ต

Buy-Ins & Re-Buys

Set the buy-in once and tap a player's cell to record theirs, or give the whole field its first buy-in at once. The prize pool is always exact, down to the last chip.

๐Ÿช‘

Smart Table Seating

One tap spreads the field evenly and at random across the tables you selected. Every table has a colour and a seat count, and seats take their labels from the colour, so a red six-seater deals R1 through R6.

๐Ÿ”ป

Close Tables As You Go

Once enough players are out, deselect the tables you're breaking and seat again. Everyone still in is reseated together at what's left, without disturbing who's already been knocked out.

๐ŸŽฏ

Payout Ladders That Grow

Pick a preset and you're done: winner takes all, a fixed few places, or a ladder that starts narrow and widens as re-buys build the pot, so more places start paying the longer the night runs.

๐Ÿ› ๏ธ

Build Your Own Structure

Create a payout preset tier by tier โ€” the places paid, their percentages, and the pot size each tier kicks in at. Saved presets are offered to every tournament you set up afterwards.

๐Ÿค

Chops, Settled Properly

Enter the remaining chip counts and the deal is split using ICM, not chip percentages, so a short stack never gets handed less than the place they've already locked up. Money already paid out stays paid.

๐Ÿ†

Winner, Bracelet, Locked

Swipe players out as they bust, undo it if you were too quick, then confirm the champion. Payouts are applied, the bracelet is awarded, and the result is sealed for good.

๐Ÿ•ฐ๏ธ

Tournament History

Every finished game, newest first, with its winner and total pot. Open one for the full result: final places, points, payouts, and the time each player hit the rail.

๐Ÿ“Š

All-Time Rankings

Every finished tournament rolled into one leaderboard, sortable six ways: average placement, total points, net winnings, gross winnings, wins, or games played.

๐ŸŽ–๏ธ

Points Worth Arguing Over

Points scale with where you finished and how big the field was, plus a bonus for winning outright. A win that came out of a chop scores the base only, because the game was dealt, not decided.

๐ŸŽฉ

Players & Nicknames

Add regulars by hand or straight from your contacts, give them a photo you can crop to fit, and roll them a nickname until one sticks. The nickname is the name meant to be shared.

๐ŸŒ

Money That Fits Your Region

Buy-ins and payouts read in your own currency, and every tournament remembers the one it was played in. Round payouts to clean, countable amounts instead of awkward change.

โ™ป๏ธ

Run It Again

Swipe a finished tournament and duplicate it. Players, tables, payout structure and settings all carry over, so the weekly game takes seconds to set up.

๐Ÿ“–

A Guide That's Actually In There

Nineteen illustrated pages covering the whole flow, from creating a tournament to reading the leaderboard. It remembers where you left off and loops back around.
